Chapman Hopkins is the Legal Advisor for Pinhook Partners, providing expert counsel on transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters within the Thoroughbred industry. As a member of the Lexington office of the law firm Stoll Keenon Ogden, Chapman serves as Chair of the firm’s Equine Litigation group and practices across equine law, business litigation, and banking litigation.
Chapman’s equine practice covers the full spectrum of industry needs—racing and breeding operations, sales and purchase transactions, syndications, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. His background as an owner and breeder gives him a practical height of understanding of the issues owners, consignors, and farms face, both domestically and internationally.
In his role with Pinhook Partners, Chapman guides contract structuring, sales-related documentation, governance issues, and risk management. Whether addressing partnership agreements or sales disclosures, his focus is on ensuring clarity, compliance, and best-practice structuring that aligns with the operation’s goals.
